An otherworldly beautiful Reverb from Earthquaker Devices!
The Earthquaker Devices Afterneath is anything but your average reverb pedal. At the heart of this reverb is an unreal, otherworldly reverb that you can tune in a number of very creative ways. The Diffuse knob lets you make the reverb more or less focused, so you can place it "further away" in the mix. The Damp control darkens the reverb a bit. The Reflect control determines the number of reflections: at higher settings, the Afterneath derails into an infinite self-oscillating reverb! Where things get really interesting is the Drag control. A reverb is actually a collection of short delays. The Drag knob pulls these short delays apart; turn the knob further to the right for an increasingly crumbling reverb!
This new version of the Afterneath adds a whole new dimension to the Drag control. First of all, you can now control the control with an Expression pedal. Then there’s the new Mode control. This lets you adjust the nature of the spread and set the intervals between the different delays. It may sound a bit complicated, but trust us: the results are astonishing and miles ahead of any reverb you’ve ever heard before. What a creative marvel the Afterneath is!
